The Power of Juicing For Detox And Beauty

I consider juicing to be my fountain of youth. The juice of organic vegetables will not only speed up the process of detoxification, it will flood your body with enzymes, vitamins and minerals for quick absorption….and greatly benefit the immune system.

It’s a win-win!

So tell me, what’s your favorite combination of fruits and veggies? What has been your experience with juicing so far?

  1. I firmly believe that I have more energy since I started juicing in January. Love it and miss it if I even skip one day.

  2. I like juices with apple or carrot in it! If it’s too “green” or “spicy” i tend not to like them. I realize there are benefits to all the ingredients that you mentioned, but my palette is just not there yet. Can you make any suggestions of combinations that keep my juices green but can also satisfy someone who has a sweet tooth like me?

    1. Beets are very sweet and can help a lot with taste. Apples are also a great way to bring a bit of sweetness to the juice. The Golden Delicious (the solid light green type) and Honey Crisp types are some of the sweetest and best apples for juicing. A great refreshing and easy-on-the-palatte green juice recipe is : 1/2 small green cabbage, 2 stalks of celery, 3-4 kale leaves, 1 golden delicious apple and 1/2 a lemon. Give it a try and let me know how it goes! Thanks for commenting.

  3. I only recently tried Jason Vale’s 7 day detox plan and was blown away by it. I was juicing everyday but since having done some travelling that’s fallen by the wayside and boy do I notice a difference! Can’t wait to get back home to do another 7 days. My favourite is advocado, cucumber, green leaves, apple juice, pinapple juice.

  4. I haven’t tried juicing yet since I don’t have a juicer and am limited on space in the kitchen. But I have been making green smoothies regularly and really enjoy it. I love experimenting with different combinations, but I think my favorite is blending a banana, strawberries, spinach, almond milk, chia seeds and almond butter.

    1. OMG, that’s wonderful. I make a similar smoothie without the almond butter. Now that is summer, try other fruit combinations. They are delish! Thanks for commenting.

  5. Ah, this is inspiring me to revisit my jucing! I used to LOBE apple, cucumber, kale + carrot! I have also gotten into green smoothies! 🙂 Spinach + Almond Milk!

  6. Would you please share the smoothie juices recipes that were shown on “My Diet is Better than Your Diet.” I love the idea of making all five in the AM and storing them on a mason jar to be easily pulled from the frig that day.
