The price of quinoa has tripled since 2006, making it almost impossible for the people of the Andes, the original consumers of quinoa, to afford it any more!

  1. Hi, Jovanka. I eat quinoa. I’m a vegetarian and I eat gluten free due to having celiac disease. It’s a staple of mine. But I could certainly reduce my intake based on what you’ve shared here.

    • I do too and I am reducing my consumption by 15% or so until other countries start producing it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here!
